Initiated by the municipality of Klagenfurt in September 2010, this project aims to demonstrate that eMobility can help lower both carbon emissions and noise pollution in a European city like Klagenfurt, and that this can be accomplished without imposing limitations on people's mobility needs.

The Carinthia government has pledged to increase the share of energy produced from renewable sources, and to focus on energy efficiency within the Alpe-Adria region. All initiatives and investments in that area not only have model character, but also constitute the foundation for a new kind of economic development. In our region, all businesses and projects that tackle alternative energy production are held in high esteem. In 2010, Austria's largest photovoltaics plant was built in Carinthia, with an energy output of 1.5 MW. This was only possible thanks to the know-how and hard work of Carinthian businesses.

The trend toward electric vehicles on Austria's streets is palpable. In particular, the interest in e-bicycles (e-Bikes and electric scooters) has risen sharply in recent years.
