The electricity utilized by the CEMOBIL project is generated entirely from renewable energy sources, which goes a long way to show that eMobility can make a valuable contribution to climate protection efforts, as well as to efforts to meet Kyoto standards.
In all, the city will introduce 64 eVehicles (44 eCars, 10 eBikes, 10 eScooters), one eBus, and one solar-powered boat that travels along the Lendkanal. "Lebensland Kärnten" will be providing the required infrastructure by installing 50 electric charging points in the Klagenfurt area.
Another 50 charging points are slated to be built by private entities (e.g. housing associations, shopping malls, etc.). All eVehicles will be available for testing purposes to private individuals, public institutions, driving schools, and taxi-cab companies.
