Does it make sense to charge the battery while the e-Car is in motion?

Absolutely! Practically all modern e-Cars employ regenerative braking, a technology that works like a powerful engine brake, and that extends the e-Car's operating range by about 6%.

Moreover, regenerative braking can be used to replace regular brake use in city driving situations.

Put in simple terms, the energy produced in the braking process is fed back into the e-Car's battery. Unfortunately, regenerative braking technology cannot currently be used to its fullest extent under Winter conditions. On icy or slippery roadways, regenerative braking is thus automatically disabled.
