The first functioning e-Cars were built over 125 years ago. Today, near-silent and emission-free electric vehicles are making a comeback. Many types of e-Vehicles are currently available, such as e-Cars, e-Transporters, e-Scooters, e-Motorbikes, e-Bikes, e-Fun vehicles, and e-Boats.

"Lebensland Kärnten" e-Vehicles

They look just like the cars and scooters we use every day, and they are as powerful. The key difference: they are emission-free and near silent.

Cost effectiveness and viability

Although e-Vehicles are still more expensive than conventional, petrol or diesel powered vehicles, they are much more economical in terms of mileage and energy consumption, thus bringing huge savings to the driver. Unlike combustion engines, electric motors have very few wearing parts, which minimizes service and maintenance costs.

Environmental impact and efficiency

e-Vehicles are silent and clean; they are emission-free and generate very little fine particulate matter. However, to ensure a low environmental impact it is necessary to use electricity produced from renewable energy sources. In Carinthia, we have no shortage of solar, wind, and hydro power, and are thus able to tap into "green" sources to generate energy in a sustainable way.

A new driving experience

Anybody who has ever driven an e-Vehicle will confirm the uniqueness of the experience: impressed by the remarkable direct drive train, which makes the vehicle glide along the streets near silently, most e-Vehicle drivers also feel good about the fact that they have found a "green" and economical way of being mobile in their day-to-day lives. A number of first-hand accounts by Carinthian e-Car test drivers can be found here. Of course, the world of e-Mobility includes not only e-Cars and e-Scooters, but also e-Bikes and several different e-Fun vehicles.
